Data License
This license governs every market-data product supplied by CryptoStruct GmbH, Hamburg. In one sentence: use the data internally for anything, keep what you build from it, but do not pass the raw data on.
1. Scope
This license applies to all market data supplied by CryptoStruct GmbH: tick day-files, day bundles, derived-format exports (CSV, Parquet), Premium CSV exports, free samples, the realtime feed, and data returned through our API or MCP server (together, the “Data”). By downloading or accessing Data you accept this license. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions, which govern the purchase itself (payment, delivery, withdrawal, liability).
2. Grant
We grant you a non-exclusive, worldwide, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use the Data for Internal Use by you and your affiliates (entities under common control with you). Purchased files are licensed perpetually — they never expire. The realtime feed is licensed for the UTC days you have paid for. Contractors may use the Data on your behalf under the same restrictions.
3. Internal Use
Internal Use means anything you do inside your own organisation, including:
- research, backtesting, and simulated or live trading,
- risk management, reporting and internal dashboards,
- training, fine-tuning and evaluating machine-learning or AI models of any kind,
- storage, backup copies and conversion into other formats.
4. Derived Data
Anything you produce from the Data that does not contain the Data and cannot reasonably be used to reconstruct it is yours: indicators, signals, aggregates and statistics, trained models and their weights, research reports, charts and backtest results. You may use, publish, distribute and sell such Derived Data without restriction. Aggregated candles or bars are Derived Data; a tick-level replica is not. One exception: a benchmark, index, reference rate, settlement price or price oracle computed from the Data and offered to third parties needs our written approval first (using such figures internally is free).
5. What you may not do
- redistribute, resell, sublicense, rent, lend, publish or otherwise make the Data or any substantial part of it available to third parties, in any form — including as part of a product, API, dataset or model-training corpus offered to others,
- publish raw records beyond insubstantial excerpts, and only with attribution (“Source: CryptoStruct”),
- share accounts, download links, API keys or realtime keys outside your organisation,
- circumvent access controls, rate limits or realtime connection limits.
6. Free samples
Free sample files are licensed on the same terms. In addition, excerpts of samples may be shown in publications, teaching material and evaluations with attribution.
7. Ownership
All rights in the Data, its normalised format and the underlying database — including the sui-generis database rights under §§ 87a et seq. UrhG and the EU Database Directive — remain with CryptoStruct GmbH. Where a venue imposes conditions of its own on data recorded from it, they are listed in this section. Currently: none.
8. As is
The Data is recorded from public venue feeds and normalised into our own format. It may contain gaps, venue outages or errors (see the exchange status page). It is provided without warranty of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose, and it is not investment advice. Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.
9. Termination
A material breach of this license ends it; you must then delete your copies of the Data. Derived Data you created before termination stays yours.
10. Governing law
German law applies. For merchants, the place of jurisdiction is Hamburg. Questions about this license: contact us.
